BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today reinstated right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish from the 15-Day Injured List and optioned him to Triple-A Worcester.
Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom made the announcement.
Danish, 27, was placed on the 15-Day Injured List on July 7 due to a right forearm strain. The right-hander made four rehab appearances for Double-A Portland from August 10-27, allowing one run in 4.2 innings. Danish has a 4.02 ERA (14 ER/31.1 IP) in 26 games for Boston this season, setting career bests in appearances, innings pitched, and strikeouts (25).
