Solak will be active for Sunday’s homestand finale against the Mariners
Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has recalled infielder/outfielder Nick Solak from Triple-A Round Rock and optioned catcher Sam Huff to Round Rock.
Solak will be in his second stint with the Rangers this season. He has batted .287 with 5 home runs and 29 RBI over 39 games with Round Rock since he was optioned on May 19. Since July 6, he is batting .441 (15-34) over his last 8 games with the Express, posting one home run and 5 doubles. He finished his stint at Triple-A with back-to-back 3-hit games, including a 3-for-5 effort with 2 doubles in his last contest on Friday at El Paso. Solak batted .209 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI over 26 games for Texas during his other stint with the club from Opening Day-May 18.
Huff has batted .260 with one home run and 5 RBI over 30 games spanning two stints with Texas this season: April 28-May 1, May 10-June 20, July 11-16. He has also batted .270/.355/.607/.962 (33-122) with 13 HR and 25 RBI over 32 games with Round Rock in 2022.
Following today’s transactions, the Rangers remain at the 40-man limit on the club’s Major League roster, along with two players (Mitch Garver and Eli White) on the 60-day Injured List.
