The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed right-handed pitcher Chase De Jong on the 15-day injured list with left knee tendonitis.
Right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis and will start today’s game at Colorado.
Wilson has allowed a total of three earned runs in 12.2 innings in his last two starts with the Pirates. His last start with Pittsburgh came on July 7 after being appointed as the 27th man for the doubleheader against the Reds. Wilson has also gone 5-0 with a 2.97 ERA in six starts this season at Triple-A Indianapolis. Beginning with his start on May 28, Wilson’s 2.97 ERA (36.1ip/12er) with Indianapolis is the seventh-lowest among all International League pitchers.
