CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s series opener vs. Boston, the Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Luis Robert on the COVID-19 related injured list and recalled infielder Jake Burger from Class AAA Charlotte.
Burger is hitting .239 (17-71) with two doubles, two home runs and seven RBI in 21 games with the White Sox in 2022. He is 10-47 (.213) with three homers and eight RBI over 13 games with Charlotte this season.
Robert is batting .285/.319/.438 (39-137) with three doubles, six home runs, 17 RBI, six stolen bases and 21 runs scored in 33 games this season. He leads the team in homers and ranks second in hits, RBI, runs scored, stolen bases and total bases (60).
