KANSAS CITY, MO — The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned outfielder Trevor Larnach from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day Injured List.
Larnach has missed the Twins’ last 13 games with a right adductor strain, after being placed on the Injured List on May 8 (retroactive to May 7). He played in two games on rehab assignment with Double-A Wichita, going 1-for-8 with one home run, three RBI, one run scored and one walk. The 25-year-old has hit .313 (21-for-67) with nine doubles, seven RBI, 12 runs scored, six walks, a .365 on-base percentage and an .813 OPS in 22 games for the Twins this season.
To make room for Larnach on the 26-man roster, the Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Cody Stashak on the 15-day Injured List with right shoulder impingement. Stashak, 27, has made 11 relief appearances for the Twins this season, going 3-0 with a 3.86 ERA (16.1 IP, 7 ER), no walks, 15 strikeouts and a 0.98 WHIP. This is his second Injured List stint this season, after missing eight games from April 7-17 with right biceps tendinitis.
