NEW YORK – Prior to tonight’s series opener at the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox returned right-handed pitcher Michael Kopech from the Paternity List and optioned right-hander Ryan Burr to Class AAA Charlotte.
Kopech, who was placed on the Paternity List on Tuesday, is 0-1 with a 1.54 ERA (6 ER/35.0 IP), .137 (16-117) opponents average, 0.94 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in seven starts this season.
Burr is 1-1 with a 6.00 ERA (6 ER/9.0 IP), one hold and seven strikeouts in eight relief appearances with the White Sox this season. He has worked 1.2 scoreless IP with two strikeouts in two appearances with Charlotte in 2022.
