BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today placed infielder Christian Arroyo on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. The club also returned infielder/outfielder Danny Santana from his injury rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Worcester and reinstated him from the 10-day injured list.

He appeared in two rehab games with Worcester and went 0-for-4 with two walks, making one start at first base and one in center field. The switch-hitter has played in 31 games with Boston and batted .167 (16-for-96) with one double, one triple, three home runs, and 10 RBI, making 11 starts in center field, 10 at first base, and one in left field.
