CF Montréal has lost six of its last seven matches against expansion sides (W1). Montreal has lost four of its five away matches against expansion teams in its MLS history, only recording a win at New York City FC in August 2015.

Charlotte FC made it four straight home wins with a 1-0 victory over Inter Miami on Saturday. Only four expansion teams have had longer home winning streaks excluding breakaway shootouts: Atlanta United (2017), CF Montréal (2012), Portland (2011), Chicago (twice in 1998).

CF Montréal set a club record with a seventh straight match unbeaten (W5 D2) following a 4-1 win over Orlando City on Saturday. That run includes going unbeaten in four straight on the road (W2 D2), equaling the longest stretch of away matches without defeat in the club’s MLS history.

Andre Shinyashiki scored the winning goal on his debut with Charlotte FC on Saturday. It was the second time he scored on his MLS debut with a club, also doing so for Colorado against Portland in March 2019.

Djordje Mihailovic scored one of Montreal’s four goals on Saturday, taking his tally to five goals and four assists this season, all coming in the last eight games. Only Austin’s Sebastián Driussi (10) has contributed to more goals than Mihailovic in MLS in 2022.
