Stars’ Benn Fined for High-Sticking

NEW YORK – Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Calgary Flames forward Andrew Mangiapane during Game 3 of the teams’ First Round series in Dallas on Saturday, May 7, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 10:06 of the second period. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
