OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland Athletics optioned left-handed pitcher Adam Kolarek, infielder Vimael Machín and outfielders Luis Barrera and Cody Thomas to Triple-A Las Vegas, right-handed pitcher Wandisson Charles, catcher Jonah Bride and infielder Jordan Díaz to Double-A Midland and right-handed pitcher Jorge Juan to High-A Lansing, the club announced today. The A’s also reassigned seven non-roster invitees to their minor league camp including right-handed pitchers Parker Dunshee, Brian Howard, Colin Peluse and Trey Supak, catcher Kyle McCann, infielder Logan Davidson and outfielder Mickey McDonald.
The A’s now have 50 players remaining in camp, which includes 30 players on the 40-man roster (which stands at 38), 19 non-roster invitees and one on the suspended list. The breakdown includes 26 pitchers, five catchers, 12 infielders and seven outfielders.
