Right-hander will report to Triple-A St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN — The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have claimed right-handed pitcher Beau Burrows off waivers from the Detroit Tigers.
Burrows, 24, made his major league debut on July 27, 2020 and appeared in six major league games for the Tigers from 2020-21, posting an 8.64 ERA (8.1 IP, 3 ER) with three walks, six strikeouts and a 1.56 WHIP. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Burrows was selected by Detroit in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of Weatherford (TX) High School.
Burrows will report to Triple-A St. Paul and will join the Saints in Columbus, where they are due to start a six-game series against the Clippers tonight.
