WINNIPEG, MB., – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced the signing of Canadian defensive back Josh Hagerty to a one-year contract.

Hagerty (6-3, 200; Saskatchewan; born July 27, 1998, in Regina, SK) joins the Blue Bombers after spending the 2024 season with the Edmonton Elks. He previously played for the Toronto Argonauts from 2021 to 2023 and was part of their 2022 Grey Cup championship team.

Throughout his career, Hagerty has appeared in 32 CFL games with Edmonton and Toronto, recording 23 defensive tackles, 26 special teams tackles, and one forced fumble.

Hagerty was selected by the Argonauts in the sixth round, 47th overall, of the 2021 CFL Draft.

During his college career with the Saskatchewan Huskies (2016-20), he played in 26 regular season and playoff games and was a member of the 2018 Hardy Cup championship team.
