Standing 6-1 and weighing 210 pounds, Schoen was born on October 13, 1996, in Overland Park, Kansas. He returns to the Blue Bombers for his fourth season in 2025. Limited by a season-ending knee injury, Schoen played only three games in 2024, during which he recorded 14 receptions for 159 yards.

Schoen’s 2022 and 2023 seasons were some of the most prolific in both Blue Bombers and Canadian Football League history. In 34 games over those two seasons, he amassed 141 receptions for 2,663 yards and 26 touchdowns, earning West Division and CFL All-Star honors each year.

In 2023, Schoen caught 71 passes for 1,222 yards and 10 touchdowns, finishing third in the league in receiving yards, first in receiving touchdowns, and third in second-down conversion catches with 30.

Schoen’s rookie year in 2022 was nothing short of sensational. He led the league with 1,441 receiving yards on 70 receptions and tied for the league lead in touchdowns with 16, earning the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie award.

His 1,441 receiving yards in 2022 rank as the seventh-highest total in Blue Bombers history, while his 16 touchdowns set a team record for a first-year player.

Over his 37 CFL games, all with the Blue Bombers, Schoen has recorded 244 receptions for 2,822 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Schoen joined the Blue Bombers after initially signing with the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He also had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Football Team.

At Kansas State, Schoen walked on to the team and climbed the depth chart, eventually becoming a key target over his final three years. He finished his college career ranked seventh in school history in yards per reception (17.05) and 15th in career receiving yards (1,569), with 92 receptions for 1,569 yards and nine touchdowns over 34 games from 2017-2019.

Schoen earned 2019 Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors and was a First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection from 2017-19.
