WINNIPEG, MB., – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced the signing of American offensive lineman Matt Kickel and American receiver Reggie Brown.

Matt Kickel (6-4, 323; Aurora): Born on April 4, 2001, in Bolingbrook, IL, Kickel joins the Blue Bombers following an impressive collegiate career. In 2024, he started 11 games for the Aurora Spartans, earning numerous accolades including Second Team CSC Academic All-American and Second Team All-American honors from D3football.com, the Associated Press (AP), and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Kickel was named NACC Offensive Lineman of the Year and selected First Team All-NACC. He began his college career at Arizona State in 2019, before transferring to Aurora in 2020, where he played 34 games across four seasons (2020-2024).
Reggie Brown (6-1, 195; James Madison): Born on January 29, 1999, in Lakeland, FL, Brown joins the Blue Bombers after spending time with the Kansas City Chiefs last year as an undrafted free agent. During his college career at James Madison, Brown garnered Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-Sun Belt honors in 2023, highlighted by a stellar season with 53 receptions for 1,054 yards and nine touchdowns. He also set a school record with 202 receiving yards in a single game against Connecticut. Over his collegiate career (2019-2023), Brown appeared in 45 games for JMU, accumulating 93 receptions for 1,686 yards and 16 touchdowns.
These signings add talent and depth to the Blue Bombers roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
