WINNIPEG, MB. – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced the signing of American defensive back Rashaan Gaulden.

Rashaan Gaulden (6-0, 200; Tennessee): Born on January 23, 1995, in Spring Hill, TN, Gaulden joins the Blue Bombers after his most recent stint on the practice roster of the Calgary Stampeders in 2022. Selected in the third round, 85th overall, by the Carolina Panthers in the 2018 NFL Draft, Gaulden brings NFL experience, having played 27 games across three teams: the Panthers (2018-19), New York Giants (2019), and Las Vegas Raiders (2022).
Gaulden signed with the Stampeders in late September of 2022 but was released a month later.
During his collegiate career at Tennessee, Gaulden appeared in 36 games across three seasons (2014, 2016-17), missing the 2015 season due to a foot injury. He declared for the NFL Draft following his junior year, finishing his career with the Volunteers by recording 140 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, one interception, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and 10 passes defended.
The Blue Bombers add a versatile defender with both NFL and collegiate experience to their roster with this signing.
