MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated catcher Christian Vázquez from the Paternity List and outfielder Manny Margot from the 10-day Injured List.

Vázquez missed the Twins’ last two games as he and his wife welcomed their third child late Monday night. He has played in 84 games for the Twins this season, hitting .228 (60-for-263) with nine doubles, seven home runs, 27 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Margot, who missed the club’s last 10 games with a right groin strain, has hit .250 (70-for-280) with 14 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 30 RBI, 19 walks, five stolen bases and a .652 OPS in 116 games for Minnesota this season.

To make room for Vázquez and Margot on the 28-man roster, the Twins have optioned catcher Jair Camargo and utility player Michael Helman to Triple-A St. Paul. Camargo, who was recalled on Monday, did not appear in a game during his most recent stint. Helman appeared in seven games, hitting .375 (3-for-8) with two doubles and two runs scored.
