MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Jorge Alcala from Triple-A St. Paul.

Alcala has worked 4.2 scoreless innings with two hits allowed, four walks and seven strikeouts in four May appearances for the Saints. This marks his third stint with the Twins this season, previously being with the club from Opening Day-April 14 and May 3-8, and going 1-1 with a 3.27 ERA (11.0 IP, 4 ER), two holds, six walks and 10 strikeouts in eight appearances across those stints.

To make room for Alcala on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Caleb Boushley to Triple-A St. Paul. Boushley made one appearance during his latest major league stint, working 2.0 innings of relief (3 H, 2 R/ER, 1 BB, 1 K) on Monday in Washington, D.C.
