Jay Jackson designated for release or assignment
CLEVELAND, OH – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Caleb Boushley from Triple-A St. Paul.
Boushley (BOZZ-lee) has gone 4-1 with a 4.54 ERA (41.2 IP, 21 ER), five walks, 38 strikeouts and a 1.13 WHIP in eight starts for the Saints this season. This is his second stint with the Twins this year; was previously with the club from May 1-2 and did not appear in a game.
To make room for Boushley on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Jay Jackson for release or assignment. Jackson went 1-2 with a 6.85 ERA (22.1 IP, 17 ER), eight walks, 23 strikeouts, one hold and a 1.39 WHIP in 17 relief appearances for the Twins.
