ARLINGTON, Texas – Ahead of Wednesday’s series finale vs. the Los Angeles Angels at Globe Life Field, the Texas Rangers announced the following roster moves:

• RHP Nathan Eovaldi transferred to the 15-day Injured List (right rotator cuff strain), retroactive to August 24
• RHP Caleb Boushley recalled from Triple-A Round Rock

Nathan Eovaldi, 35, has been dominant through 22 starts in 2025 (11–3, 1.73 ERA, 25 ER/130.0 IP). He ranks first in MLB (min. 130.0 IP) in ERA, opponent OPS (.546) and WHIP (0.85), and is top-2 in opponent OBP (.239), opponent SLG (.307) and baserunners per nine innings (8.17). His 1.73 ERA is the lowest by any Rangers or Senators pitcher through their first 22 starts of a season (1961–present). Over three seasons in Texas (2023–25), Eovaldi is 35–16 with a 3.14 ERA in 76 starts, posting a .686 win percentage—the highest in franchise history among pitchers with at least 75 starts.

Caleb Boushley (‘BAHZ-lee’) rejoins the big-league club for the sixth time this year (previous stints: April 8–27; May 1–14; May 18–June 22; July 11–31; August 17–20). In his lone Triple-A outing since being optioned, he logged 2.2 relief innings for Round Rock on Sunday at St. Paul (1 unearned run, 4 H, 0 BB, 1 K on 41 pitches/27 strikes). His most recent MLB action came in his first career start last Wednesday at Kansas City (3 ER in 3.0 IP, including a first-inning three-run homer). In 21 games (1 start) for Texas this season, Boushley is 0–0 with a 5.22 ERA and has tied for the team lead with 10 relief appearances of two or more innings. At Triple-A, he owns a 1.08 ERA (3 ER/25.0 IP) in eight games (five starts). The 27-year-old Wisconsin native is in his ninth professional season after being drafted by San Diego in the 33rd round in 2017 out of UW–La Crosse.

With these moves, the Rangers remain at the 40-man active roster limit and have three players (Cody Bradford, Tyler Mahle, Josh Sborz) on the 60-day Injured List.
