Langford, 23, left Tuesday’s game against the Cubs after a plate appearance in the seventh inning. The outfielder started the Rangers’ first 12 games of the season in left field, compiling a .244/.333/.561 slash line with four home runs, six RBIs, five walks, and six runs scored. His four home runs lead the team and tie for fourth in the American League. Since making his MLB debut on Opening Day in 2024, Langford has posted a .252/.326/.426 slash line with 20 home runs, 26 doubles, and 80 RBIs in 146 games. Notably, his 12 home runs since September 1, 2024, rank second in the AL behind Aaron Judge.
Harris, 25, has appeared in nine games for Round Rock this season, hitting .184 with three walks, five runs, and four stolen bases while playing all three outfield positions (center field, right field, and left field). This marks Harris’ second stint with the Rangers. He made his MLB debut in September 2024 and went 2-for-6 with a home run and three RBIs in his two appearances. Over four minor league seasons (2021-24), Harris ranked highly among Texas prospects in batting average (.278), on-base percentage (.371), and home runs (61). Originally drafted by Oakland in 2019, Harris was acquired by the Rangers in a trade involving LHP Mike Minor.
Duran, 25, was sent down to Round Rock on Tuesday after the activation of 3B Josh Jung from the Injured List. He did not appear in a game for Round Rock before his recall. In five games with the Rangers this season, Duran is 0-for-11 with an RBI while appearing defensively at third base, second base, and even pitching an inning of relief. Since 2024, Duran has been a versatile asset for the Rangers, playing every position except catcher and logging the majority of his games at third base.
Ornelas, 24, appeared in three games during his first Major League stint of 2025, going 0-for-4 with one walk and three strikeouts. He started once at shortstop and came off the bench twice in that role. In his 29 career MLB games (2023-25), Ornelas has a .188 batting average with two doubles, three RBIs, and three walks.
With these moves, the Rangers remain at the 40-player limit on their Major League roster. The team currently has three players—Cody Bradford, Jon Gray, and Josh Sborz—on the 60-day Injured List.
