The Texas Rangers have activated outfielder Wyatt Langford from the 10-day injured list after recovering from a right oblique strain, while utility player Ezequiel Duran has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock.

Langford’s Return
Langford, 23, was sidelined for nine games after sustaining the injury during a plate appearance in the seventh inning on April 8 against the Chicago Cubs. He completed a two-game rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco, where he went 2-for-6, hitting one home run, driving in one RBI, drawing two walks, and scoring two runs.
Before his injury, Langford had been a key contributor for Texas, posting a .244/.333/.561 slash line with four home runs, one double, six RBIs, five walks, and six runs scored in 12 games. He started each of the Rangers’ first 12 contests in left field and reached base safely in 11 of those starts. Over two MLB seasons (2024-25), Langford has recorded 20 home runs, 26 doubles, 80 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases across 146 games.
Duran’s Move to Triple-A
Duran, 25, has struggled offensively, going 0-for-14 with one RBI, one sacrifice fly, and four strikeouts in seven games this season. He has played multiple positions, including third base (three games), first base (one game), shortstop (one game), second base (one game), and even pitched in one game.
Duran was previously optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on April 8, but was recalled the following day when Langford was placed on the injured list. With Langford now back, the Rangers have reassigned Duran to the minors.
Roster Update
With these transactions, the Rangers maintain their 40-man roster limit, while Cody Bradford, Jon Gray, and Josh Sborz remain on the 60-day injured list.
