Kansas City, Mo. – Ahead of Thursday’s series finale against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium, the Texas Rangers announced the following roster moves:

  • RHP Jacob Webb has been activated from the 15-day Injured List.
  • RHP Caleb Boushley has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock.

Webb, 31, returns to the active roster after missing time with back spasms (July 29–August 20). During his rehab assignment with Round Rock, he made three appearances, allowing one earned run over 3.1 innings, with opponents hitting just .231 (3-for-13). His most recent outing came Tuesday in St. Paul, where he tossed a scoreless inning on 20 pitches (12 strikes). Webb last pitched for Texas on July 28 against the Angels.

In his debut season with the Rangers, Webb has compiled a 4-3 record with a 3.75 ERA across 42 relief appearances, totaling 48.0 innings—third-most among Texas relievers behind Hoby Milner (60.1 IP) and Shawn Armstrong (52.2 IP). He signed a one-year deal with the club on December 11, 2024.

Boushley, also 31, heads back to Round Rock after making his first career MLB start in Wednesday’s 6-3 win over Kansas City. He allowed three runs on five hits (including one home run), with three walks and one strikeout over 3.0 innings. Across five stints with the Rangers this season, Boushley has posted a 5.22 ERA over 21 games (one start). In the minors, he’s gone 1-1 with a 1.21 ERA in seven outings (five starts) for Round Rock.

Webb will be in uniform and available for today’s game.
