Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Forward Cam Atkinson from AHL Syracuse

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced the recall of forward Cam Atkinson from their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, as confirmed by vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois.

Atkinson’s Season Performance

Atkinson, 35, has played 38 games with Tampa Bay this season, recording four goals and nine points while averaging 8:47 of ice time. The Riverside, Connecticut native made his Lightning debut on October 11 against Carolina, registering his first point—an assist—on October 17 versus Vegas. He later scored his first goal with Tampa Bay on November 21 against Columbus and has contributed one goal and three points over his last four games.

Career Overview

Originally drafted by Columbus in the sixth round (157th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Atkinson has been a consistent presence in the NHL. He joined the Lightning as a free agent signing on July 2, 2024.
