TAMPA BAY — The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Boris Katchouk to a one-year, two-way contract, Vice President and General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Katchouk, 27, spent the 2024–25 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL, where he appeared in 67 games, tallying 21 goals and 49 points. He led the team in games played, ranked second in total points, and finished tied for third in both goals and power-play goals. He also added an assist in two Calder Cup Playoff appearances.

The 6-foot-2, 206-pound forward from Vancouver, British Columbia, brings a blend of size, scoring touch, and experience. Over his NHL career, Katchouk has skated in 176 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks, and Ottawa Senators, recording 15 goals and 36 points while averaging 11:09 of ice time per game. He played 38 games with Tampa Bay during the 2021–22 season, contributing two goals and four assists before being traded to Chicago on March 18, 2022, in a deal that brought Brandon Hagel to the Lightning.

In the AHL, Katchouk has logged 240 career games with the Syracuse Crunch, Rockford IceHogs, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, amassing 60 goals and 144 points, along with six playoff appearances.

Originally selected by Tampa Bay in the second round (44th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft, Katchouk returns to the organization that launched his professional career, bringing depth and veteran presence to the forward group.
