NEW YORK – Tonight, Split-T Management fighters David Navarro and Joseph Hicks will see action at Ballys Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Their fights will be part of the non-televised undercard of a SHOBOX: The New Generation card (9:30 pm ET/PT).
Navarro of Los Angeles will take on Luis Domingo Hernandez in a six-round super featherweight bout.
The 22 year-old Navarro has a record of 4-1 with two knockouts. A two-year professional, Navarro is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Gavin Guaman on March 11th in Deadwood, South Dakota.
Hernandez of the Dominican Republic is 14-6-1 with nine knockouts. The 28 year-old Hernandez is a nine-year pro, who will be making his United States debut, and he is coming off a defeat to Juan Carlos Camacho on February 26th in The Dominican Republic.
Navarro weighed 127.6 lbs. Hernandez was 126.8 lbs.
Hicks will take on Luis Solis in a six-round middleweight bout.
Hicks of Grand Rapids, Michigan is 3-0 with three knockouts. The 28 year-old Hicks is still in his rookie year as a pro and he is coming off a first-round stoppage over Jonathan Batista on August 10th in Detroit.
Hicks was a stellar amateur where he was elected Captain of Team USA Boxing, National Golden Gloves Champion 2019. Three-time Eastern Elite Qualifier Champion (2017, 2018, 2019) & a five-time Michigan Golden Gloves Champion (2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019).
Solis of Yucatan, Mexico is a veteran as he is 25-14-4 with 21 knockouts. At 30 years-old, Solis is a 12 year-pro. He has wins over Ricardo May (1-0), Angel Cano (2-0), Cristian Aguilar Galaz (4-0), Mario Cauich (1-0), Luis Antonio Fitch (19-3), former world champion Cristobal Cruz, Nery Saguilan (38-9-1), Roberto Carlos Dominguez (1-0). Solis is coming off a defeat to Lorenzo Simpson on November 6, 2021 in Baltimore.
Hicks weighed 160 lbs. Solis was 159.6
