New England sends international roster slot to Charlotte FC

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.  The New England Revolution have acquired $75,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM) and $100,000 in 2025 GAM from Charlotte FC in exchange for a 2024 international roster spot.

The Revolution gained the international roster slot after forward Giacomo Vrioni received his United States Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) in January.  

After concluding the month-long preseason training camp in Florida, the Revolution will begin the 2024 campaign on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at CA Independiente (8:00 p.m. ET) in Round One of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup. The Revolution will then begin the 2024 MLS Regular Season on Saturday, Feb. 24 at D.C. United (7:30 p.m. ET). New England will travel home to Foxborough for the return leg of the Round One tie with CA Independiente at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, Feb. 29 (8:15 p.m. ET), before the MLS home opener on Sunday, March 3 vs. Toronto FC (2:00 p.m. ET).
