NEW YORK – Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jake Walman has been fined $2,500 for high-sticking Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner during NHL Game No. 380 in Buffalo on Tuesday, Dec. 5, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 18:07 of the third period. Walman was assessed a minor penalty for high-sticking.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
