Aston Villa’s festive period has been one of disappointment – an unlikely statement to make considering they could have been top of the table on Christmas Day. A home game against Burnley gives them a great chance for maximum returns at least. They did dominate the game against the Blades and could consider themselves unfortunate not to have gained all three points by a comfortable margin. Villa is the play in this one.
Crystal Palace vs Brentford
Crystal Palace have a good squad at their disposal but have flattered to deceive so far this season. The Eagles have shown flashes of their ability so far and will need to be more consistent in the coming weeks. Brentford have also failed to meet expectations this season and have a mountain to climb for the remainder of the season. Both teams are evenly matched at the moment and could play out a draw in this fixture. We like the over 2.5 as well.
Wolves vs Everton
Wolves currently boast a seven-game unbeaten run at home; Everton are the league’s fifth-best away side. The potential for this game to go either way is reflected in the prices, although the availability of Hwang Hee-chan may influence the outcome. Having said that Wolverhampton Wanderers are the better team at the moment and we expect them to win this game. Wolves is the play in this one
