PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed outfielder Tommy Pham to a one-year contract for the 2025 season.

Pham, 36, played for Chicago (AL), St. Louis, and Kansas City in 2024, hitting a combined .248 (109-for-440) with 20 doubles, three triples, nine home runs, and 39 RBI in 116 games.
Throughout his career, Pham has maintained a .258 average (985-for-3823) with 183 doubles, 24 triples, 139 home runs, 470 RBI, 126 stolen bases, and 608 runs scored over 1121 games. His MLB journey has taken him through stints with St. Louis (2014-18, 2024), Tampa Bay (2018-19), San Diego (2020-21), Cincinnati (2022), Boston (2022), the New York Mets (2023), Arizona (2023), the Chicago White Sox (2024), and Kansas City (2024).
In postseason play, Pham has a .315 average (41-for-130) over 37 career games, including last year with the Royals, where he went 5-for-15 in six games.
Defensively, Pham has made 669 appearances (612 starts) in left field, 246 appearances (218 starts) in center field, and 75 appearances (55 starts) in right field during his career.
To accommodate Pham on the 40-man roster, the Pirates have placed right-handed pitcher Dauri Moreta on the 60-day injured list. With this move, Pittsburgh’s 40-man roster remains full.
