Pittsburgh Pirates conduct four roster transactions

The Pittsburgh Pirates today reinstated right-handed pitchers Dugan Darnell and Jared Jones, catcher/first baseman Endy Rodríguez, outfielder Ronny Simon and infielder Enmanuel Valdez from the 60-day injured list.

Darnell and right-handed pitcher Michael Darrell-Hicks have been designated for assignment.

Outfielder Ji Hwan Bae has been claimed off waivers by the New York Mets.

Right-handed pitcher Jack Little has been claimed off waivers by Detroit.

Infielder Liover Peguero has cleared waivers and has had his contract assigned outright to Triple-A Indianapolis.

There are now 38 players on Pittsburgh’s 40-man roster.
