The Pittsburgh Pirates today signed left-handed pitcher Justin Bruihl.

Bruihl has been added to the Major League roster and will be active tonight. He will wear uniform No. 56.

Right-handed pitcher Quinn Priester has been placed on the 15-day injured list (retro to June 3) with a right lat muscle injury.

Left-handed pitcher Ryan Borucki has been transferred from the 15- to 60-day injured list to make room for Bruihl on the 40-man roster.

The 26-year-old Bruihl, who attended spring training as a non-roster invitee with Cincinnati, went 4-0 with a 2.31 ERA (23.1ip/6er) and 24 strikeouts in 19 appearances this season with Triple-A Louisville.

Bruihl made his big league debut on August 8, 2021, with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Since breaking into the big leagues, he has gone 2-2 with a 4.22 ERA (70.1ip/33er) in 72 appearances (two starts) with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2021-23) and Colorado (2023).
