The Pittsburgh Pirates today recalled right-handed pitcher Kyle Nicolas from Triple-A Indianapolis.

The 26-year-old righthander was scored upon twice in four appearances this season with Indianapolis prior to being promoted to the Pirates today.

Nicolas also went 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA (9.0ip/2r/1er) in eight appearances this spring with the Pirates.

Nicolas will wear uniform No. 66.
