The Pittsburgh Pirates today ended the rehab assignment of right-handed pitcher Quinn Priester and activated him from the 15-day injured list.
Outfielder Edward Olivares has been optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Left-handed pitcher Justin Bruihl, who was designated for assignment on July 7, has cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Indianapolis.
Right-handed pitcher David Bednar will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona.
In addition, left-handed pitcher Ryan Borucki will continue his rehab tonight with Altoona.
Priester went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA (9.0ip/3er) in two rehab starts with Indianapolis.
Borucki went 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA (4.2ip/1er) and eight strikeouts in five appearances during his rehab assignment with Indianapolis.
