The Pittsburgh Pirates today recalled right-handed pitcher Carmen Mlodzinski from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Right-handed pitcher Quinn Priester has been optioned to Triple-A to make room for Mlodzinski on the 26-man active roster.
The 25-year-old Mlodzinski began this season on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.
He went 0-1 with a 6.60 ERA (15.0ip/11er) and 13 strikeouts in 13 games with Indianapolis while also making one appearance on rehab with Low-A Bradenton.
Mlodzinski will wear uniform No. 50.
