Ahead of today’s matchup against the New York Mets, the Philadelphia Phillies reinstated infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson from the 10-day injured list following his rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. To accommodate Wilson on the 26-man roster, the team designated infielder/outfielder Kody Clemens for assignment.

Weston Wilson’s Rehab and Career Highlights
Wilson, 30, participated in 10 rehab games split between Single-A Clearwater and Triple-A Lehigh Valley, recording a 17.4% walk rate with eight walks in 46 plate appearances and scoring nine runs. Defensively, he showcased versatility by starting games at left field (6), first base (1), second base (1), third base (1), and as a designated hitter (1).
In the 2024 season, Wilson excelled against left-handed pitchers, posting a 1.025 OPS in 51 plate appearances, ranking fourth among 226 right-handed hitters with at least 50 plate appearances against lefties. His career numbers against left-handed pitching include a .333 batting average, .450 on-base percentage, .646 slugging percentage, and a 1.096 OPS, with four doubles, a triple, three home runs, and 10 walks to 14 strikeouts in 60 plate appearances.
Originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 17th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, Wilson joined the Phillies as a minor league free agent on January 3, 2023.
