HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Wednesday unanimously renewed the Category 1 horse‑track casino license held by Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, the operator of Parx Casino & Racing in Bucks County.

Regulators said Greenwood Gaming met all obligations under its existing license and qualified for another five‑year term.

The renewal followed a standard review process that allows both the operator and the public to provide input. A public hearing was held in April 2025 in Bensalem Township, where Parx representatives presented testimony and exhibits detailing the casino’s operations since its last renewal. Community members were also invited to comment on the casino’s impact.

In addition to public testimony, the Board reviewed information from local officials, community organizations, the Pennsylvania State Police, and several PGCB bureaus, including Enforcement Counsel, Investigations and Enforcement, Compulsive and Problem Gambling, and Casino Compliance.

Board members held a second hearing Wednesday in Harrisburg to question Greenwood Gaming officials before voting.

Since opening in December 2006, Parx Casino has generated $10.2 billion in gross revenue from slot machines, table games, sports wagering and iGaming. The property has returned $4.59 billion to the state through taxes, assessments and fees.

Parx currently operates 2,981 slot machines, 155 table games, 12 hybrid table games and a retail sportsbook, and employs more than 2,300 workers.
