The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has renewed the Category 2 casino license for Wind Creek Bethlehem, LLC, for another five years. The decision was based on Wind Creek Bethlehem fulfilling its obligations under its previous license. The renewal process included a public hearing in July 2024, where Wind Creek Bethlehem presented updates and local residents shared their views on the casino’s impact.

The Board also considered input from local officials, community groups, and various state agencies before making their decision. Additionally, a public hearing in Harrisburg allowed further questioning of Wind Creek Bethlehem representatives.

Since opening in May 2009, Wind Creek Bethlehem has generated over $7 billion in revenue, contributing $2.9 billion in taxes and fees to the Commonwealth. The casino operates 2,318 slot machines, 202 table games, and a 20-table poker room, employing 2,242 people, 94% of whom are Pennsylvania residents.
