OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s reinstated right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling from the 15-day injured list and optioned left-handed pitcher Brady Basso to the A’s affiliate in the Arizona Complex League, the club announced today.

Stripling was 2-11 with a 6.08 ERA in 21 games, including 14 starts, when he was placed on the 15-day IL Sept. 11 retroactive to Sept. 9 with a lower back strain. It was his second stint on the IL this year as he was also out from May 25 to July 24 with a strained right elbow. Stripling has an 8.25 ERA and .333 opponents batting average in seven relief appearances.

Basso was recalled on Sept. 10 for his fifth stint with the A’s this year and went 1-1 with a 5.54 ERA in three starts following his return. He is 1-1 with a 4.03 ERA and .680 opponents OPS in seven games, four starts, overall for Oakland.
