Between September 1–30, bettors in North Carolina placed $686,064,471 in wagers, a figure that includes both paid and promotional bets. Players collected $615,147,457 in winnings during the month.
Gross Revenue & Tax Proceeds
Under state law, gross wagering revenue (GWR) is defined as the total amount received from wagers minus payouts to players, before deductions for expenses, fees, or taxes.
