TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks continue a season-long eight-game homestand tonight (third contest) vs. the Vegas Golden Knights at Honda Center (7 p.m. PT, TV: Bally Sports SoCal, AUDIO: Ducks Stream). Tonight marks the second straight season the Ducks will host Vegas in the club’s first contest following the NHL Holiday Break (also Dec. 28, 2022 at Honda Center; 3-2 SOW). The Ducks enter tonight with wins in two of the last four games (2-2-0). The Ducks continue their 13-game December schedule, which includes seven home and six road contests. Following tonight’s game, the Ducks continue the season-long homestand Friday, Dec. 29 vs. the Arizona Coyotes (7 p.m. PT).

EIGHT STRAIGHT: The Ducks continue an eight-game homestand tonight that spans a total of 18 days from Dec. 21 through Jan. 7. The homestand (currently 0-2-0) is tied for the second-longest in franchise history, with the Ducks hosting a club record 10-game homestand Dec. 23, 2022 – Jan. 13, 2023 spanning 24 days (3-6-1 record). Anaheim’s longest prior homestands of eight games (three times) include March 12-27 (1-6-1), Dec. 28, 2014-Jan. 16, 2015 (6-2-0, 12 pts.), Mar. 2-18, 2007 (6-1-1, 13 pts.) and Oct. 28-Nov. 14, 2001 (2-4-2, 6 pts.). The Ducks opened the 2023-24 series with a 4-1 loss at T-Mobile Arena in the Ducks’ season-opener (Oct. 14). Mason McTavish scored Anaheim’s lone goal while John Gibson stopped 34-of-37 shots. Anaheim earned a 4-2 win at home vs. the Golden Knights Nov. 5. Sam Carrick tallied two of Anaheim’s goals while Adam Henrique and McTavish also found the scoresheet. Gibson stopped 30-of-32 shots. The Ducks all owns an all-time record of 6-18-5 vs. the Golden Knights, including a 4-8-2 mark in Orange County. Adam Henrique paces active Ducks skaters in scoring (10-6=16) and goals, while Cam Fowler leads in assists (9). The teams close out the season series in Vegas Apr. 18 (7 p.m. PT).
