− The Predators are 18-11-(0)-4 all-time against the Senators, including an 8-6-(0)-3 record on the road. − This is the first of two matchups between Nashville and Ottawa in 2023-24; it is the first and only at Canadian Tire Centre. − Nashville went 1-1-0 against Ottawa last season, earning a 3-0 win in the most recent meeting on Jan. 9, 2023 on the road that saw Juuse Saros record a 38-save shutout. − The Predators are 4-1-0 in their last five games against the Senators; they are 6-1-3 in their last 10; and 2-0-3 in their last five on the road. − Nashville has lost just once in regulation to Ottawa since Nov. 20, 2014, going 10-1-3. Ridly Greig’s first increased the team’s current total to three. It notched nine SHG in both of the past two seasons.

VLAD AND THE PREDS: Senators’ forward Vladimir Tarasenko has recorded eight points in his last 10 games and will be poised for an offensive push tonight against the Predators, the team against which he has recorded the most points in his NHL career. Tarasenko has registered 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) against the Predators over his first 40 games versus Nashville. Tied for sixth among active NHL players (with Edmonton’s Corey Perry) in points against the Predators, Tarasenko is only two points behind Leon Draisaitl who holds the fifth position. Among all-time NHL skaters, he is tied for 28th with Brendan Shanahan, Corey Perry, Tomas Holmstrom, and Andy McDonald.
