* Leon Draisaitl (0-4—4), Evan Bouchard (2-1—3) and Connor McDavid (1-2—3) continued their hot starts to 2026-27 by spurring the Oilers’ multi-goal comeback win and writing their names on several elite lists in the process.
* Kyle Connor scored twice and climbed the Jets’ all-time goals list as Winnipeg skated to victory in front of fans at Canada Life Centre.
* The Blues play their first game at Enterprise Center this season when they host the Sharks on ESPN+ and Sportsnet+.

OILERS TRIO TAKE CHARGE IN MULTI-GOAL COMEBACK WIN
Leon Draisaitl (0-4—4) posted a four-assist game, while Evan Bouchard (2-1—3) found the back of the net twice and Connor McDavid (1-2—3) captured the League lead in assists and points as the Oilers overcame a multi-goal deficit with five straight goals in the second period en route to victory. In the process, Edmonton extended its season-opening point streak to four games (3-0-1) — its longest such run since 2021-22 (5-0-0 from Oct. 13-22, 2021).

* Draisaitl recorded his 33rd career four-point game and tied Alex Ovechkin as well as Kent Nilsson for the sixth most among players born and trained outside North America behind only Jaromir Jagr (56 GP), Peter Stastny (54 GP), Jari Kurri (47 GP), Nikita Kucherov (42 GP)and Teemu Selanne (38 GP). Draisaitl also became the sixth player in Oilers history to record four assists in a period – a list topped by Wayne Gretzky (10x).
* Bouchard boosted his 2026-27 totals to 6-5—11 (4 GP) and matched Morgan Rielly (4 GP in 2018-19) as well as Bobby Orr (4 GP in 1975-76) for the second-fewest games in NHL history by a defenseman to reach 10 points in a season behind only Pat Stapleton (3 GP in 1968-69) and Harry Cameron (3 GP in 1917-18). Bouchard’s League-leading six goals are also the second most by a defenseman through their first four games of a campaign trailing only Cameron (8 in 1917-18 w/ TAN).
* Bouchard wasn’t the only Edmonton player to reach and eclipse the 10-point mark last night – he and McDavid (3-9—12 in 4 GP), who climbed the NHL all-time list for three-point periods, made the Oilers just the third team in the past 30 years to have multiple players reach double-digit point totals prior to their fifth game of a season. The others: the Maple Leafs in 2018-19 (Auston Matthews &Rielly) and Sharks in 2012-13 (Joe Thornton & Patrick Marleau).
CONNOR CUTS COLORADO RALLY SHORT WITH LATE GOAL
After Winnipeg erased a 1-0 deficit and took a 2-1 lead, Colorado battled back to pull even in the third period, but Kyle Connor (2-0—2) scored his second goal of the game with exactly one minute remaining in regulation to lift the Jets to their first home win of the season and climbed the franchise goals list in the process.

* With his first goal of the contest, Connor (41) passed Keith Tkachuk (40) for the sixth-most game-tying tallies in Jets history – a list topped by Dale Hawerchuk (89). With his second, Connor became the fourth player to score multiple go-ahead goals in the final minute of regulation with the franchise (also 59:06 on Nov. 17, 2022), following Morris Lukowich (3x), Tkachuk (2x) and Mark Osborne (2X).
* Connor’s late goal was factored on by Mark Scheifele (0-2—2) – they are two of the four Jets players that are set to make their third appearance in a Heritage Classic (also Adam Lowry & Josh Morrissey), which would tie them with Calgary’s Mikael Backlund (2011, 2019 & 2023) for the most appearances by a player in the Heritage Classic. The NHL and Fanatics unveiled the uniforms that both Winnipeg and Montreal will don when they face off at Princess Auto Stadium on Sunday, October 25 (7 p.m. ET, SN, TVAS, TNT, truTV, HBO MAX).

BLUES RING IN HOME OPENER ON ESPN+, SPORTSNET+ DURING 10-GAME THURSDAY
The Blues will play their first game at Enterprise Center this season when they host the Sharks on ESPN+ and Sportsnet+. Elsewhere on the slate, the Senators play their home opener, while Gavin McKenna and the Maple Leafs pay a visit to Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights.

* Colton Parayko is set to skate in his 12th home opener with the Blues, which will tie Bernie Federko for the most in franchise history. The contest will also mark the 804th of his career, which would put him past Barret Jackman (803 GP) for the most by a Blues defenseman. St. Louis has an all-time record of 34-21-3 in home openers and can tie Boston (35-13-10) for the most wins among all teams since they entered the League in 1967-68.

* Tim Stützle (3-3—6 in 3 GP) leads Ottawa in scoring and can become the first Senators player since Nikita Zaitsev (4 GP in 2020-21) to record a four-game season-opening assist streak. A goal tonight would also tie him for the third most by an Ottawa skater in home openers (4), trailing only Daniel Alfredsson (8) and Brady Tkachuk (5).
* McKenna is coming off a game where he recorded his first NHL goal and assist. He can become the fifth 18-year-old in Maple Leafs history to post consecutive multi-point outings, following Ted Kennedy (4x in 1943-44; longest: 3 GP), Russ Courtnall (3 GP in 1983-84), Bud Poile (2 GP in 1942-43) and Busher Jackson (2 GP in 1929-30).
* Jack Eichel posted four points in his last outing and became the first player to 10 points this season (2-8—10 in 4 GP). The forward, who co-leads the League with three multi-assist performances in 2026-27, can match the mark for fewest games to 10 assists in a season by an active player (Jack Hughes: 5 GP in 2023-24).
