* Macklin Celebrini can continue to close in on 200 career points when the Sharks host the Flames during the latest edition of Monday Night Hockey on Sportsnet+, which is one of several national broadcasts slated for the week ahead. McDavid becomes fastest player in NHL history to reach 30-assist mark
Connor McDavid went coast-to-coast for his franchise record-setting eighth career opening-minute goal before factoring on the 3-0 tally by Evan Bouchard (1-2—3) to become the fastest player in NHL history with 30 assists in a season, besting the previous mark set by Wayne Gretzky (16 GP in 1984-85). McDavid extended his League-record campaign-opening assist streak to 15 games and became the eighth different player in NHL history with a run of that length at any point during a season.

* McDavid (9-30—39 in 15 GP), whose 30 helpers this season are two more than any player has points (Leon Draisaitl: 12-16—28 in 15 GP), needs two contests to tie his career high for longest season-opening scoring streak (17 GP in 2021-22). McDavid became the second skater in League history with multiple 15-game runs after Gretzky (51 GP in 1983-84, 30 GP in 1982-83, 23 GP in 1988-89 & 16 GP in 1984-85).

KOCHETKOV DELIVERS AGAIN FOR HURRICANES WITH 10TH STRAIGHT WIN

Pyotr Kochetkov continued his perfect start to the season with a perfect performance Sunday and set the franchise record for longest winning streak (10 GP) in Carolina’s 7-0 victory. Kochetkov joined Jack Campbell (11 GP in 2020-21) and Carey Price (10 GP in 2016-17) as the third goaltender in NHL history to win each of his first 10 games of a season.

* Carolina’s offense also made an impact Sunday by matching their highest goal total of the season (also 7 vs. VAN on Oct. 8). The Hurricanes scored seven or more times in a shutout win for the sixth time in franchise history and tied the Penguins (Sept. 30) for the most goals in that scenario this season.

* Kochetkov (26 saves) recorded his 13th career shutout and tied Mike Liut for the third most in franchise history behind Cam Ward (27) and Arturs Irbe (20). He also became the ninth different goaltender born outside North America with a 10-game winning streak and first since Vitek Vanecek (10 GP in 2022-23).

KAPRIZOV KEEPS CRUISING IN #NHLSTATS: LIVE UPDATES

The first #NHLStats: Live Updates of November saw Kirill Kaprizov pad his lead in goals this season after scoring his 15th of 2026-27 and became the second player in Wild history to record 500 career points in the process. The Wild forward tied Evgeni Malkin (413 GP) as the fourth-fastest active player to hit the milestone, behind Connor McDavid (369 GP), Sidney Crosby (369 GP) and Alex Ovechkin (373 GP).

More highlights include:

* Cutter Gauthier got his second career hat trick (also Nov. 4, 2025) to help the Ducks earn their first three-goal comeback win since Dec. 22, 2024. Gauthier became the first player in franchise history with a hat trick during a three-goal comeback win and the second with multiple three-goal performances before age 23, joining Paul Kariya (Jan. 10 & 23, 1997).

* Matvei Michkov scored his team-leading 10th goal of the campaign in the Flyers’ win. He accounts for 26.6% of Philadelphia’s goals this season (10 of 35), which marks the third-highest percentage in the NHL (excluding shootout deciders) behind Kyle Connor (32.4%; 11 of 34) and Kaprizov (28.9%; 15 of 52).
