The main event is a 12-round WBC super lightweight (140 lbs) world title fight, with champion Subriel Matias defending his belt against mandatory challenger Dalton Smith. This high-stakes clash pits Matias’ devastating power and relentless pressure against Smith’s technical boxing, speed, and undefeated record in what many view as a pick’em contest with explosive potential.
Venue Location: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA. This 19,000-capacity arena is a boxing hotspot, previously hosting major events like Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia and Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Jacobs, delivering an intense atmosphere with strong Puerto Rican support expected for Matias.
Ringwalks are scheduled for approximately 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT), with the Matias vs. Smith ringwalk expected around 10:00-11:00 PM ET, depending on undercard progression. The event streams live on PPV.com (and potentially DIRECTV PPV).
Injury Report
Subriel Matias — No current injuries reported as of January 5, 2026. Matias is fully cleared following a resolved adverse VADA finding (low-level Ostarine detected below thresholds), with the New York State Athletic Commission confirming the fight proceeds under additional testing.
Dalton Smith — No injuries or health concerns noted. Smith has been active and injury-free in recent camps.
Fighter Matchups and Profiles
This orthodox-vs-orthodox super lightweight title fight contrasts Matias’ high-volume, body-attacking pressure with Smith’s sharper, more precise counterpunching and movement. Matias holds edges in height (5’8″ vs. 5’9″) and reach (71.5″ vs. unreported, but similar), favoring his inside warfare, while Smith’s speed could exploit gaps in Matias’ aggressive style.

This bout features an undefeated Puerto Rican contender (with one recent setback) in Bravo, known for his knockout power and technical skills, against the battle-hardened Mexican veteran Campa, who brings experience from high-level fights and a resilient style. It’s a clash that could see Bravo’s reach advantage tested against Campa’s forward pressure and volume.
Venue Location: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA.
This premier arena, with a capacity of around 19,000 for boxing, has hosted iconic events like Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia and Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Jacobs, offering top-tier production and a raucous New York crowd.
Ringwalks are scheduled for 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT), with the Bravo vs. Campa ringwalk estimated around 9:00 PM ET (6:00 PM PT), though it may vary based on earlier fights.

Pedro Campa: No current injuries documented. Campa’s last bout in August 2025 was a win without noted complications, and there’s no recent news of setbacks.
Fighter Matchups and Profiles
This orthodox-vs-orthodox super lightweight clash could hinge on Bravo’s 3-inch reach advantage and power (70% KO rate) against Campa’s experience (more fights and rounds) and durability. Both are 5’9″, but Bravo’s longer arms (70″ vs. 67″) may allow him to control distance with jabs, while Campa’s pressure could force inside fighting where his 68% KO rate shines.
Bravo has fought fewer rounds recently (average 10 per fight in last 3), suggesting potential for early finishes, while Campa averages shorter bouts (6 rounds).
Nestor Bravo (23-1-0, 16 KOs):
Background: 32-year-old orthodox fighter from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, nicknamed “N/A.” Bravo turned pro in 2015 after a solid amateur career and is known for his sharp combinations, defensive movement, and knockout power. He’s rebuilt after his only loss, facing increasingly tough opposition.

The undefeated knockout sensation Keith “Tsunami” Colon (8-0-0, 8 KOs) steps up against the battle-tested veteran Alberto “Metro” Guevara (28-8-0, 13 KOs) in an eight-round featherweight bout. This matchup serves as part of the undercard for the WBC World Super Lightweight title fight between Subriel Matias and Dalton Smith. Colon, a rising prospect from Newark, New Jersey, aims to extend his perfect record against Guevara, a former world title challenger from Mazatlan, Mexico, who brings experience but has shown signs of decline in recent years. Expect a clash of youth and power versus grit and ring savvy, with Colon looking to make a statement in front of a New York crowd.
Venue Location
Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, United States. This iconic arena, with a capacity of over 17,000 for boxing events, has hosted numerous high-profile fights and is known for its electric atmosphere, especially for East Coast prospects like Colon.
Ringwalks are scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT), with the estimated ringwalk for Colon vs. Guevara around 8:00 p.m. ET, depending on undercard progression. The event will be streamed live on PPV.com for $54.99, available on various devices including Smart TVs, phones, and streaming platforms like Roku and Apple TV.
Injury Report
No injuries have been reported for either fighter leading into this bout. Both Colon and Guevara have been active in training camps without any noted setbacks, per recent news and social media updates. Colon, coming off an October 2025 win, appears fully fit, while Guevara’s sparse recent schedule suggests he’s healthy but potentially rusty. Any last-minute changes could arise, but as of January 6, 2026, both are cleared to fight.
Fighter Matchups
This is an eight-round featherweight contest (126 lbs limit) pitting a young KO artist against an experienced gatekeeper. Colon, at 23, brings explosive power and speed, while Guevara, 35, relies on his durability and counterpunching from over 200 professional rounds.
Key Stylistic Matchup: Colon’s aggressive, forward-pressure style (orthodox stance, 66.1″ reach) vs. Guevara’s veteran boxing IQ and resilience (orthodox, slight reach advantage at 66.9″). Colon has finished all his fights early, averaging under 2 rounds per win, which could overwhelm Guevara if the veteran can’t weather the early storm. Guevara’s experience against top competition (e.g., losses to Shakur Stevenson, Leo Santa Cruz) might allow him to drag Colon into deeper waters for the first time.

Alberto Guevara: The veteran has been inconsistent, snapping a five-fight losing streak with a recent win, but his activity is low—last four fights spanned over nine years. He’s durable but has struggled against elite talent, with losses to Shakur Stevenson (2019), Manny Flores (2024), and Hugo Ruiz (2019). At 35, his form shows resilience but vulnerability to power punchers.
Oct 8, 2024: vs. Manny Flores (strong performance noted, outcome unclear but active)
Jul 13, 2019: Loss vs. Shakur Stevenson
Jan 19, 2019: UD Loss vs. Hugo Ruiz

Fight History

Betting Trends
Prospects like Colon (undefeated with 100% KO rate) are 75-80% successful against veterans in similar matchups over the last five years, per boxing betting data.
Guevara has gone the distance in 60% of his losses but has been stopped in recent high-level fights.

The arena is a premier boxing venue known for hosting high-profile events, with a capacity of around 19,000 for combat sports. It’s easily accessible via public transit in New York City and has hosted notable fights like those involving Daniel Jacobs and Sergey Kovalev in the past.
Ringwalk is scheduled for 10:00 PM ET (7:00 PM PT), depending on the progression of earlier bouts.
The event will be broadcast on PPV.com and potentially streamed on platforms like ESPN or DAZN, though final details may vary.

Jonathan Javier Rodriguez: Similarly, no current injury reports or health concerns have surfaced. Rodriguez’s last bout was a draw in 2023, and he has not fought since, but there are no indications of lingering issues from his career.
Note that the searches for Rodriguez initially pulled unrelated data on a soccer player with the same name, but for the boxer, all signs point to full fitness.
Fighter Matchups and Profiles
This is a classic southpaw vs. orthodox matchup in the bantamweight division (118 lbs limit), where Cintron’s technical finesse and footwork could counter Rodriguez’s power and pressure. Cintron holds advantages in height (5’7″ vs. 5’5″) and reach (70.5″ vs. 66.5″), potentially allowing him to control distance.
Rodriguez, however, brings more experience and a higher knockout rate, making him dangerous in close quarters.

The Philadelphia Eagles, the No. 3 seed in the NFC, aims to become the 10th team to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
The Denver Broncos earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC for the first time since 2015 after tying a franchise record with 14 wins this season (also won 14 games in 1998, when they won Super Bowl XXXIII). The Broncos have advanced to the Super Bowl six of the previous eight times they were the No. 1 seed.
The Seattle Seahawks earned the No. 1 seed in the NFC for the fourth time in franchise history (2005, 2013 and 2014) after setting a franchise record with 14 wins in 2025. The Seahawks have advanced to the Super Bowl each of the three previous times they have been the No. 1 seed.
Six teams – Carolina, Chicago, Jacksonville, New England, San Francisco and Seattle – qualified for the postseason after missing the playoffs in 2024. Since 1990 – a streak of 36 consecutive seasons (1990-2025) – at least four teams every season have qualified for the playoffs after failing to make the postseason the year before.
Carolina, Chicago and New England won division titles after finishing in last or tied for last in their divisions in 2024. In 20 of the past 23 seasons (2003-25), at least one team finished in first place in its division the season after finishing in last or tied for last place.
Carolina, Chicago, New England and San Francisco clinched playoff berths after finishing in last or tied for last in their divisions in 2024. In 27 of the past 30 seasons (1996-2025), at least one team has made the playoffs the season after finishing in last or tied for last place.
There were seven new division winners – Carolina, Chicago, Denver, Jacksonville, New England, Pittsburgh and Seattle – tied with 2011 for the most in a season since 2002. There have been at least two new division winners in every season since 2003, a streak of 23 consecutive seasons, and since realignment in 2002, 31 of the 32 NFL teams have won a division title at least once.

Quarterback Breakdown: 12 of the 14 expected starting quarterbacks in the 2025 playoffs are under the age of 30, the most in a postseason all-time.
Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers (age 42), expected to make his 22nd career postseason start (all with Green Bay), ranks tied for the third all-time in postseason touchdown passes (45) and fourth in postseason passing yards (5,894). Rodgers earned Super Bowl MVP honors when he led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV championship in 2010.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen (age 29) has 3,359 passing yards, 25 touchdown passes, 668 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns and one touchdown reception in his first 13 career playoff starts. Among quarterbacks with at least 10 playoff starts, Allen’s 309.8 combined passing and rushing yards per game is the highest in NFL history.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (age 37) will make his 11th career postseason start and led the Rams to the Super Bowl LVI title following the 2021 season. During the 2021 postseason, he recorded 1,188 passing yards in four starts, the second-most passing yards in a single postseason all-time. Stafford led the NFL with 46 touchdown passes during the regular season and can join Tom Brady (2007 and 2020) and Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning (2004 and 2013) as the only quarterbacks with at least 50 touchdown passes, including the postseason, in multiple career seasons.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (age 27) can make his 10th career playoff start and has led the Eagles to two Super Bowl appearances (LVII and LIX) in the past three seasons. Last season, he was named Super Bowl LIX MVP and he is the only player in NFL history with 10 touchdown passes and 10 rushing touchdowns in the postseason.
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy (age 26) has a 4-2 record in six career playoff starts with seven touchdowns (six passing, one rushing) and a 96.2 rating in his postseason career. Purdy led the 49ers to an SB LVIII appearance following the 2023 season. In nine starts this season, he totaled 23 touchdowns (20 passing, three rushing) with a 100.5 rating.
Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud (age 24) is expected to make his fifth career postseason start on Wild Card weekend and can become the fourth quarterback ever to win a playoff game in each of his first three seasons, joining Joe Flacco, Pro Football Hall of Famer Otto Graham and Russell Wilson.
Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love (age 27) can make a postseason start for the third-consecutive year and has at least two touchdown passes in two of his first three career playoff starts. Love passed for 3,381 yards and 23 touchdowns with a career-high 101.2 rating in 15 starts this season.
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (age 27) can make his third career playoff start in the Wild Card round. He passed for 3,727 yards and 26 touchdowns and added a career-high 498 rushing yards in 16 starts this season.
Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence (age 26) can make his third postseason appearance after setting career highs in touchdown passes (29), rushing touchdowns (nine) and rushing yards (359) in 17 starts during the regular season.
Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold (age 28) will make his second-career postseason start in the Divisional playoffs after becoming the fifth quarterback all-time to record at least 13 wins in consecutive seasons and the first to do so with different teams. He passed for 245 yards and one touchdown in his postseason debut last season with Minnesota.
Denver quarterback Bo Nix (age 25) can make his second postseason start in the Divisional playoffs and has 24 regular season wins since entering the NFL in 2024, tied with Russell Wilson for the most regular season wins by a starting quarterback in his first two seasons in NFL history.
New England quarterback Drake Maye (age 23), Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams (age 24) and Carolina quarterback Bryce Young (age 24) can each make their first career postseason start after leading their respective teams to division titles this season. With Lawrence, Stafford, Williams and Young, the 2025 postseason will mark the fourth all-time to feature four quarterbacks selected No. 1 overall to start in the same playoffs.

Chargers (11-6) at No. 2 New England (14-3) (Sunday, 8 p.m. ET, NBC/Peacock/Telemundo/Universo): The Patriots, set to host their first playoff game since the 2019 Wild Card round, have won each of the three playoff meetings against the Chargers in the Super Bowl era. New England led the AFC in scoring offense (28.8 points per game) and total offense (379.4 yards per game) as quarterback Drake Maye led all qualified passers in passer rating (113.5) and completion percentage (72.0). The Chargers, along with the Jaguars, were the only two teams to allow 20-or-fewer points in each of the final six weeks of the regular season.
No. 5 Houston (12-5) at No. 4 Pittsburgh (10-7) (Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN/ABC/ ESPN+/ ESPN Deportes/ManningCast-ESPN2/ESPN+): The Texans enter the 2025 playoffs having won nine consecutive games, the longest winning streak by a team entering the playoffs since San Francisco in 2022 (10 game winning streak). Houston led the NFL in total defense (277.2 yards per game allowed) and ranked second in scoring defense (17.4 points per game against) this season. The Steelers, winners of the AFC North for the first time since 2020, look for their first home playoff win since the 2016 Wild Card round (Jan. 8, 2017, vs. Miami).
NEW YORK - The NFL has determined each team’s 2026 regular-season opponents, the league announced today.
Under the NFL scheduling formula, every team plays 17 games as follows:
Home and away against its three division opponents (six games).
The four teams from another division within its conference on a rotating, three-year cycle (four games).
The four teams from a division in the other conference on a rotating, four-year cycle (four games).
Two intraconference opponents based on the prior year’s standings (two games). These games match a first-place team against the first-place teams in the two same-conference divisions the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place and fourth-place teams in a conference are matched in the same way each year.
One interconference opponent based on the prior year’s standings on a rotating four-year cycle (one game). These games match a first-place team from one division against a first-place team in an opposite-conference division that the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place and fourth-place teams in each division are matched in the same way each year. The home conference for this game will rotate.
The 2026 schedule, with playing dates and times, will be announced in the Spring.
Following is the 2026 scheduling rotation and team-by-team opponents.
