NEW YORK — The New York Sirens announced today that defender Olivia Knowles has signed a Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement. Her activation from the Reserve Player List adds needed depth to the blue line as rookie Dayle Ross continues her stint on LTIR. In a corresponding move, the club has reassigned defender Nicole Vallario to the Reserve List.

“Entering her third season in the league, Olivia brings the experience and skill set required to perform at the PWHL level,” said General Manager Pascal Daoust. “Her opportunity underscores just how competitive this league is, and that earning a roster spot is truly a privilege.”

A native of Campbell River, BC, Knowles joined the Sirens at the start of the 2024–25 season and has appeared in 12 games with the club. During the league’s inaugural campaign, the 26‑year‑old suited up for Toronto, recording one assist across 20 games.

The Sirens close out their schedule before the holiday break this Sunday at 12 p.m. EST, hosting the Toronto Sceptres at Prudential Center.
