New England Revolution Receives up to $650K and Retains Portion of Buck’s Future Sell-on Rights
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have finalized a trade with the San Jose Earthquakes, receiving $600,000 in initial compensation and up to $50,000 in conditional payments for midfielder Noel Buck. Additionally, the Revolution will retain a percentage of Buck’s future sell-on rights.
Noel Buck’s Contributions to New England
A native of Arlington, Mass., Buck has been an integral part of the Revolution since joining as an academy player at age 12. His journey from the Revolution Academy Player of the Year (2021-22) to a first-team contributor exemplifies New England’s commitment to developing young talent.
- MLS Appearances: Buck made 47 regular season appearances (30 starts) for the Revolution and played in two postseason starts during the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.
- 2025 Campaign: The Homegrown Player logged 22 minutes in two substitute appearances this season before the trade.
- Revolution II Legacy: Buck also played a pivotal role for the club’s second team in MLS NEXT Pro and USL League One, ranking in the top 10 for appearances (44) and starts (36).
