Sengun has been at the center of the Rockets’ resurgence, delivering 72 points over the last three games. In his 32-point outing on Thursday, he led Houston to a 119-115 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Sengun’s excellent form has seen him average 23.6 points in the last seven games.

The Hawks, returning from a six-game road trip that ended with a 123-115 loss to the Phoenix Suns, look to reclaim their home-court advantage. Across those six games, the Hawks managed a 2-4 record. Trae Young and Atlanta will aim to bounce back and maintain their strong home presence, reflected in a 10-7 home record for the season.

Though this will be the first meeting between these teams this season, the Hawks have had the upper hand, sweeping both games last season and winning the last two encounters at home against the Rockets. Trae Young, averaging 22.5 points and an NBA-leading 12.1 assists per game, continues to be the driving force for the Hawks. He recently dished out 20 assists against Utah, matching a milestone reached only twice this season.

Atlanta’s Jalen Johnson has been dealing with shoulder soreness, missing four of the last five games. However, De’Andre Hunter has stepped up in his absence, averaging 19.4 points. For Houston, Tari Eason’s status is day-to-day, as he aims to recover from lingering leg issues that have kept him sidelined for 11 straight games.

The Rockets have been one of the better teams on the road, holding a 12-6 record away from home. Fred VanVleet, who scored a crucial basket late in the win against Memphis, has a history of performing well against Atlanta, averaging 16.1 points and 6.6 assists across 19 career games.

As both teams regroup for a fresh challenge, fans can look forward to an exciting clash. Will the Rockets extend their road win streak, or will the Hawks reestablish their dominance at home?
