The Pacers have been on fire in 2025, boasting a 9-2 record, the best in the NBA since the start of the year. They concluded their Paris trip with a commanding 38-point victory over the Spurs, marking their largest margin of victory this season.

The Detroit Pistons have been one of the surprising teams in the NBA, currently holding the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. However, they have lost four of their last six games. Starting guard Jaden Ivey has been sidelined for the past four weeks due to a broken fibula that required surgery.

Pistons guard Cade Cunningham is having a stellar season, averaging a career-high 24.8 points per game and scoring 27.6 points over his last five outings. However, his shooting percentage in those games has dipped to 42 percent, possibly reflecting the burden of leading the offense.

Wednesday’s game marks the final contest of a five-game road trip for the Pistons.

Indiana ranks fourth in the NBA in field goal percentage (49.0) and eighth in three-point shooting (37.2). Seven different Pacers players are averaging double figures in scoring, led by Tyrese Haliburton (18.0) and Pascal Siakam (20.2).

The Pacers are 2-1 against the Pistons this season. A victory on Wednesday would mark the first time Indiana has won the season series against the Pistons in back-to-back seasons since 2015-16 and 2016-17.
