NBA Preview: Cleveland Cavaliers (11-0) vs Chicago Bulls (4-6)

The Cleveland Cavaliers remain unbeaten as they head into Monday’s visit to the Chicago Bulls.

Cleveland’s most recent victory came behind a furious comeback. Hosting the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, the Cavaliers struggled after halftime, scoring just 13 points in the third quarter. However, behind a double-double from Evan Mobley (23 points, 16 rebounds) and strong scoring efforts from Donovan Mitchell (22 points) and Darius Garland (20 points), Cleveland turned an 82-68 deficit with 1:03 left in the third into a 105-100 victory.

Chicago aims to win consecutive games for the second time this season. The Bulls snapped a four-game losing streak with Saturday’s 125-113 win in Atlanta, relying on a big fourth quarter. Chicago outscored Atlanta 35-15 in the final period, with a balanced attack that saw eight players scoring in double figures.

Ayo Dosunmu led with 19 points, Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Zach LaVine and Coby White added 18 points each. LaVine returned after missing the past three games due to a right adductor strain.

The Bulls have been outscored in the first quarter in nine of their 10 games this season. Improved pace and ball movement have helped the team regroup, as Chicago has recorded at least 30 assists in five games.

Challenging the Cavaliers, the 12th team in NBA history to start a season 11-0, will require sustained sharpness. Cleveland knows this well, as their frantic finish on Saturday continued their good vibes.

Cleveland has won seven of the past eight meetings against Chicago, but the Bulls lead the all-time series 133-101.
