History is within reach for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

At 13-0, Cleveland is just 11 wins away from matching the best start to an NBA season.

However, they must first get past the visiting Chicago Bulls on Friday night.

The Cavaliers maintained their perfect record with a 114-106 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.

They continue their quest toward a 24-0 mark, the record set by the Golden State Warriors at the start of the 2015-16 campaign before suffering their first loss in Game 25.

Darius Garland scored 25 points and Donovan Mitchell added 23, along with 13 rebounds and nine assists, to help Cleveland overcome the 76ers. The Cavs trailed by as many as eight in the third quarter.

Mitchell understands that their historical start places a huge target on the Cavaliers, meaning every opponent will bring their best effort as long as the winning streak continues.

Chicago certainly challenged Cleveland on Monday night when the game was tied at 106 with 5:06 left in regulation. The Bulls faded down the stretch and ultimately lost 119-113.

Zach LaVine led the Bulls with a team-high 26 points on 12-of-20 shooting, followed by a 31-point performance in a narrow 124-123 win over the Knicks on Wednesday. LaVine also contributed seven rebounds and eight assists against New York.

There is a chance that guard Lonzo Ball could rejoin the Bulls, as he has missed the past eight games due to a right wrist sprain.

Ball was used off the bench in three games this season before his injury. Coby White and Josh Giddey have been starting in the backcourt and will have their hands full with Garland and Mitchell on Friday.
